Design and Thermal Analysis of Linear Hybrid Excited Flux Switching Machine Using Ferrite Magnets

This paper presents a novel linear hybrid excited flux switching permanent magnet machine (LHEFSPMM) with crooked tooth modular stator. Conventional stators are made up of pure iron core, which results in high manufacturing costs and increased core losses. Using stator lowers the volume by to 18% compared conventional stator, minimizes losses reduces machine’s overall cost. A angle is introduced improve linkage between pole mover slot. Ferrite magnets used parallel magnetization reduce cost machine. Two-dimensional FEA performed analyze evaluate various performance parameters proposed Geometric optimization optimize split ratio (S.R) winding slot area (Slotarea). Genetic algorithm (GA) applied width (STW), space modules (SS), (?), starting (?). The model has thrust density (306.61 kN/m3), lower detent force (8.4 N), simpler design higher efficiency (86%). structure makes it good candidate for railway transportation electric trains. Thermal analysis then validated an LPMEC model. Overall, very agreement observed both analyses, relative percentage error less than 3% achieved, considerable since 3D while 2D temperature flow considered
